About me

I studied English, Spanish and Journalism at the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translatology at Leipzig University. I successfully finished my studies with the degree Diplom-Übersetzer in autumn 2006. During my studies I’ve already gained insight into the work of a translator. I’ve spent extensive time in Madrid and London to gather new experiences and to improve my language skills. I also enhanced my knowledge and skills working as an intern in the European Central Bank in Frankfurt am Main. After having finished my studies I worked as a translator for English and Spanish at PSI Sprachenservice International. I’m a member of the Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Übersetzer, BDÜ), Germany’s largest association representing professional translators and interpreters, and I’m also a sworn translator. In February 2008, I started working as a freelancer.
